Housing and Residential Life considers email one of our official communication methods with our residents. It’s a fast, convenient, and an easy means of communication. And, best of all, it saves paper which helps out the environment.

Housing uses your official campus email address to send out information about room assignments, balances, check-in/check-out notices and much more. We’ve learned that for many of our residents email is actually preferred over the traditional mailed letter. Therefore residents are expected to read the emails which are sent to them.

You are responsible for regularly checking your university email account. Information sent to you through it is considered official university mail and is important and could be time-sensitive. Failure to check e-mail, forwarding errors, undeliverable addresses, mailbox full, spam blockers, etc. are not acceptable reasons for missing official university communications.

It’s simple. Check your university email account or forward this mail into your personal email account. Just keep in mind that you’ll need to periodically check your university inbox to ensure that the mailbox isn’t full.
