Acculturation and Gender: Changes in Manchu Power in Late Imperial China. I discuss the interactions of gender and ethnicity in the process of Chinese-Manchu acculturation in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. This project is funded by an Affirmative Action Faculty Development Grant.
