REVISED THESIS/PROJECT AND DISSERTATION PREPARATION GUIDELINES

The Thesis/Project and Dissertation Preparation Guidelines were revised by the Graduate Council on November 18, 2010.  Please download the newest version here

 
Style Manuals: New Editions
The American Psychological Association (APA) has published a new (6th) edition of their publication manual.  To accommodate students already working on their theses/projects, the Graduate School will accept theses and projects formatted according to either the 5th or 6th edition of APA through the 2009-2010 academic year.  Beginning Summer 2010, all theses/projects formatted according to the APA publication manual must adhere to the new, 6th, edition.
 

The Modern Language Association (MLA) has published a new (7th) edition of their Handbook for Writers of Research Papers.  To accommodate students already working on their theses/projects, the Graduate School will accept theses and projects formatted according to either the 6th or 7th edition of MLA through the 2009-2010 academic year.  Beginning Summer 2010, all theses/projects formatted according to the MLA handbook must adhere to the new, 7th, edition.
