Applying to

Graduate School

If your goal is to earn a doctoral degree, a master's degree, an educational credential, and/or a graduate certificate:

Application to the Graduate School is a two-step process:

• Step 1: Apply to the University as a graduate student.
• Step 2: Apply to a graduate degree program

Preparing to apply:

• IMPORTANT! Carefully review the Graduate Admission Checklist(.pdf) to ensure that you have all required documents ready to submit. Your application cannot be processed until all required materials are received in the Graduate School.

• If you are an International Student, please review the Checklist for International Graduate Applications (pdf)

• Students are encouraged to apply online at www.csumentor.edu.

• A paper version of the application may be downloaded: 2008-2009 Graduate Application.pdf (NOTE: Paper applications will take at least 6 weeks longer to process)

• Call The Graduate School (209) 667-3129 to have an application mailed to you.

Awaiting confirmation of receipt:

• If you apply online, you will receive an automatic email response confirming our receipt of your application.
• If you submit a paper application, we will send you a letter confirming our receipt of your application.
