Prerequisites
Scholarships awarded to students already in attendance are based on completion of 10 units at CSU Stanislaus by February 1. Scholarships for incoming freshmen and community college transfer students are based on prior coursework.
Students applying for scholarships at CSU Stanislaus for the current academic year must complete the following:
- 2010-11 Scholarship Application.pdf
- Required Essays - Online Form
- Essays are required for the following scholarships:
- Atherton Scholarship,
- Chi Delta Beta Scholarship
- Mary Stuart Rogers Scholarship
- Nina Ribak-Rosenthal Memorial Scholarship
- Note:

Essays for these scholarships are required in addition to the Statement of Educational & Career Goals section of the scholarship application.

Your application will not be reviewed for any of these scholarships without the required essay.

Essays must be on the specific topic.

- Note: at least one letter of recommendation is required from a faculty member or counselor. Some scholarships may require more than one recommendation. Please review specific criteria for each scholarship.
- Academic transcripts - required of incoming freshmen and community college transfers only unless otherwise noted. Please review specific criteria for each scholarship.
Note:
- Please be as specific and thorough as possible when completing the online application form.
- If an item required for a specific scholarship is not included with your completed scholarship application, you will not be considered for that scholarship.
- Print out the Scholarship Checklist.pdf as a guide in completing your scholarship application packet.
- Scholarship application packets for incoming freshmen and community college transfers may also be obtained from local high school and community college counselors in the CSU Stanislaus six-county service area.
Application Deadline
March 3, 2008
After the deadline date has passed, the Financial Aid/Scholarship Department will continue to accept scholarship applications.
If and when new scholarship funds become available, we will review the applications on file to find eligible candidates for the award(s).
If a scholarship application is not complete, it will not be reviewed for available scholarships.
What happens after you apply?
- Scholarship applications will be forwarded to the appropriate review committee to select award recipients.
- Some scholarships may require an interview process as well. Finalists for the award will be contacted if an interview is required.
- Recipients of scholarships will be notified in writing beginning May 2008 and will continue through summer 2008.
- Scholarship funds are released to student in Fall and Spring (half of the award each semester). For most scholarships, no funds are disbursed during Winter Term.
- Electronic fund transfers to a student’s checking or savings account is the required method to payment to students. Please complete and return the Direct Deposit Authorization Form.pdf with your scholarship award letter.
- If your scholarship requires full-time enrollment and you are registered less than full-time, your scholarship disbursement will not occur and may be canceled if you choose not to add units.
