Graduated CSUS with a Masters in Public Administration in 1979.
Earned an Associate in Research and Planning (ARP) professional designation from the Insurance Institute of America in 1994.
Earned a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) professional designation from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters in 1998.
Retired in August 2005 after nearly 30 years with the State of Nevada, having spent the final 12 years with the Research Division of the Nevada Legislative Counsel Bureau and focusing research efforts on revenue and taxation, insurance, banking, commerce, and labor issues.
Currently living in Carson City, Nevada, and working as an instructor of economics and statistics at Western Nevada College.
