Emeritus Faculty

	Dr. Dieter Renning Dr. Renning started teaching at CSU-Stanislaus in 1970 and after 26 years of service, retired in 1996.
	Dr. Albert Y. Lee Dr. Lee taught at CSU-Stanislaus from 1970 to 1998, and he taught part-time during the 1998-99 academic year, retiring after 29 years of service. His traditional areas were International Trade and Quantitative Analysis. Dr. Lee was also selected as the Outstanding Professor during the 1998-99 academic year.
	Dr. William D. Crist Dr. Crist came to California from Nebraska in 1969. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1960, his Masters in Business and Economics in 1962, and his Doctorate in Economics in 1972 at the University of Nebraska, where he also taught as a graduate teaching assistant. From 1962 to 1967, he taught at Metropolitan Junior College in Kansas City, Missouri. His primary field is labor economics and he teaches collective bargaining in the public sector in the Public Administration Masters program. He has bargained labor contracts in both the public and private sectors, representing both management and labor. Bill has been a Full Professor since 1977. He served as Chair of Economics Department from 1986 to 1990. He has held a variety of Academic Senate and Faculty Association positions during his academic career. He served as State President of the California Faculty Association from 1976 to 1985. He has made numerous scholarly presentations and published several works on collective bargaining in higher education and various public retirement system and corporate governance issues. He has provided expert testimony to the Joint Economic Committee of the U.S. Congress and extensive testimony over the years to various committees of the California Legislature. Dr. Crist has been an elected member of the CalPERS Board of Administration since 1987. He has served as President of the Board since 1992. In addition to being President of the Board, Bill currently is a member of the System's Benefits and Program Administration Committee, its Finance Committee, and its Executive Performance and Compensation Committee. Bill has served as National Co-Chair of the Council of Institutional Investors and is a member of the Board of Government of the international Corporation Governance Network. Bill enjoys alpine skiing and writing poetry. He also enjoys foreign travel and just spending time in his backyard and family garden whenever possible - which he complains, isn't often. 	Dr. Frederick E. Kottke Dr. Kottke passed away in 1995.
