The College of the Arts, which encompasses the departments of Art, Music, and Theatre, is founded on the premise that the arts are central to the human spirit and to intellectual and social life. The College of the Arts serves to instill, inspire, model, and celebrate creativity; to share and understand creative efforts throughout history and from across cultures; and to develop and nurture creative and artistic expression. The College of the Arts is also designed to serve as a center for cultural and artistic activity for the region.
