Research
Our College of Human and Health Sciences (CHHS) is dedicated to the support of faculty research and applied evidence projects that build or apply knowledge toward a goal of improving biopsychosocial health of our nation’s citizens. Many wonderful learning opportunities are provided for students to participate in the research process while learning from and with their faculty mentors. We encourage members of our state, regional and local agencies and enterprises to contact us if they are able to assist in the development of grant or contractual collaborations with our CHHS experts.

Staffing:
The CSU system has not traditionally placed research as a top priority, rather our mission has focused on excellence in teaching/instruction and student learning outcomes. But faculty are increasingly being asked, or desire to, build knowledge in their domains of expertise and engage in research and grant application processes. Our CHHS college is not currently staffed to support research but we have many talented faculty who are available for collaborative projects and have experience in all aspects of the research process, including statistical analysis, informed consent processes, proposal writing, budget development, recruiting subjects, dissemination and reporting, etc. Our campus Office of Research and Sponsored Programs has been very helpful in preparing proposals and administering grants that are successful in obtaining funding.
