FAQ

How do I log in to Bb?

Use your CSUStan User ID and password, i.e., if your email is JGarcia32@csustan.edu, your User ID is jgarcia32.
Your password is the same for all CSUStan accounts and login pages.
Set or update your password at My.CSUStan.edu.
Contact the Help Desk, L150, for password assistance.

How do I update my name in Bb?

After you have a name change and have completed your updates at my.csustan.edu, log in to Bb, and click Personal Information in the Tools box.
Click Edit Personal Information

In 1. Personal Information, enter your updated name.

The Username in Part 2 is locked; it can not be changed.

You may add the optional Other Information in Part 3.

This will update your name in the Bb system, and all your Bb classes will display your updated name.

How do I change my password for Bb?

Go to my.csustan.edu. Under the Login Assistance heading, click Password & Sign In Information.
Follow the prompts and links for Initial Sign In or Reset Password.

How do I remove courses that are still displayed in the My Courses module that I no longer need to see?

First, click the small round icon on the right side of the My Courses module. On the edit page, remove all the check marks from the row of the class you no longer wish to see displayed, then click the Submit button. Although you no longer see those courses, they will be available to you until the instructor turns them off.
See Manage My Courses Module (PDF)
Let your instructor know the course is still Available.

As an Extended Ed student, what do I need to do?

In general, once your application has been processed, your name will be added to the Bb database and you can log in with your CSUStan User ID and password.
Check with UEE if you have additional questions (MSR 240, 667-3111).

Why can't I see my courses on Bb?

Your professor may not be using Bb, or may have turned the course off.
If you know your instructor is using Bb for your course, contact that instructor.

What files can I upload to Bb?

You can upload most standard computer files.
Use ONLY letters, numerals, and the underscore in names of files you upload to Bb.
If you are uploading multiple files, a file from a "non-standard" application, or an HTML file, place the file(s) in a folder, zip/compress the folder, and upload that zipped/compressed file.

Where do I see my Final Grades?

See my.csustan.edu for your official grades.
Bb is our course management system for content and basic information about classes and grades.

What do I need to know about taking tests on Bb?
