The following programs are housed in the Advising Resource Center.
The Career Services website contains a comprehensive listing of services available to students, alumni, and employers. Students and alumni can find career and major selection aids including on and off-campus job posts, and writing assistance through Optimal Resume and personal research & assessment tools. Employers have several options for accessing the campus throughout the year, culminating with the annual Career Fair held each spring.
The Educational Opportunity Program is an admission program for first-generation college students to access the university, its resources, and additional advising to ensure academic success in the pursuit of their degrees. If you are an EOP student, you may visit the Advising Resource Center as a walk in with any advising question, but that visit does not fulfill your EOP appointment obligations. Parents of Stanislaus students who are interested in resources or who want to find out more information about attending a Parent Orientation the summer before their children start at CSU Stanislaus should contact the Parents Program Coordinator, Tammy Giannini at (209) 664-6632.
Promise Scholars Program
Promise Scholars is a comprehensive program designed to provide academic guidance and resources to former foster youth interested in attending CSU Stanislaus. Check our website for pertinent information about how to apply to the program. Local representatives of any foster youth agency can contact the Coordinator of the Promise Scholars Program, Wanda Bonnell at (209) 667-3957 for additional information.
The CSU Stanislaus Veteran Affairs website contains the most updated and accurate information for active duty military, reserve, veteran and veteran dependent students, including how to apply to the university, how to apply for benefits, and how to ensure those with military service obligations receive any additional services or consideration that might needed.
