Founders Week Celebration

The 50th Anniversary celebration continues with five days of festivities during Founders Week, September 14 - 18. With the University marking a half-century of its history, this is a great time for alums and former faculty, staff, and friends of CSU Stanislaus to visit the beautiful campus and enjoy its many fine landmarks and improvements. We hope you’ll join in the celebration!

Tuesday, September 14th

4:00 p.m. Student versus Faculty/Staff Softball Game
5:30 p.m. Young Alumni & Students BBQ Mixer (Classes 2000 to 2010) at Teague Park

Wednesday, September 15th

6:30 p.m. COA Friends of the Arts Reception – Main Stage Theatre Lobby
7:30 p.m. College of the Arts, Founders Day Collage Concert – Snider Recital Hall

Thursday, September 16th

5:30 p.m. CSU Stanislaus Faculty Exhibition:
The Next 50 Years! – University Art Gallery
7:30 p.m. Gallery 909 Reception - Grand opening of new art gallery in downtown Modesto, featuring artwork of CSU Stanislaus Art students. Open to the public. 909 Tenth Street, Modesto.

Friday, September 17th

4:00 to 9:00 p.m. CSU Stanislaus Soccer Match versus CSU San Bernardino
4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Warrior Hall of Fame Reunion – CSU Stanislaus Soccer Field. RSVP for this event at alumni@csustan.edu

Saturday, September 18th

11:00 a.m. Opening Ceremony at Legacy Luncheon, honoring distinguished guests as well as current and former Student Body Presidents & University Student Union Chairs. RSVP for this event at alumni@csustan.edu
12:00 to 8 p.m. Founders Day Celebration

StanFest Concert featuring a Family Fun Zone, Carnival Games, and Turlock Merchant Fair
Location: CSU Stanislaus Amphitheatre and Arts Grass Area

Free and open to the public

Entertainment (Noon to 8 p.m.) Country – Southern Bend and Greg Scudder Beer:30
Alternative – The Tender Box, The Ruse, and Hero’s Last Mission

Family Fun Zone Presented by the Office of Alumni Affairs (Noon to 5 p.m.)
Bounce Houses, Dunk Tank, Slip N Dip, 16’ Wet Slide, Caricature Artist, Face Painter

Turlock Merchant Fair (Noon to 4 p.m.)
Local Turlock Businesses who are part of the CSU Stanislaus ASI, Incorporated Student Discount Program. No Outside Food or Drink. Concessions will be served with Beer and Wine sales.

Items You Might Need: Sunscreen, cap/visor, cash for concessions, Warrior Card or Valid Driver’s License. Beach towel or blanket to sit on grass…no chairs in amphitheatre.
